Joseph Rullo of Today's Solar Energy Past volunteer Fireman on Manitou Fire
Department, past volunteer South Toms RIver First Aid Squad, past volunteer Ortley Beach First Aid Squad, past
volunteer First Aid and CPR instructor for OC Jersey Shore life guards, nationally known respected expert in photovoltaics, College
level instructor in solar and renewable energy, developer, designer, project installation management , and wants to give
back to the men and women who risk their lives everyday for he and his family.
Joseph R. Rullo founder of Today's Solar Energy Company always
committed to giving back to the community. In January 2009 Rullo provided FREE seminars around the state "How To
Create Your Own Energy Using The Sun", and performed free development with feasibility studies for Municipals, County
Government, and Schools systems who now have solar systems with the money they attained from grants Rullo also educated them
on. With the help of manufacturers like SMA-America providing expensive solar materials at no expense for seminars,
S.L.X. Infrastructure Municipal Engineering provided free consultation as Rullo did, and media like WOBM to get
out the word for the FREE events it was a success that also created dozens of new businesses and jobs in New Jersey.
. After attending PV 2010 this year Rullo participated in workshops addressing the hazards of solar to fireman in an
emergency fire situation, and the speakers were top level firemen in LA Calfornia and other areas heavy in solar years before
it was an idea in New Jersey. Also, it was obvious that still many municipalities even in the Decade tested California
was not addressing a majority of the questions fireman had if any, and it was for sure that most fireman were not confident
nor had enough knowledge of how a solar system works with its DC especially with disconnects safety features, etc. . Joseph Rullo of Today's Solar isolated some important things that could save lives including providing every fire
department with electrical drawings roof layouts, providing fire department with the spec sheets for the inverters and modules,
providing an opportunity for the fire department to tour the solar system to familiarize them with system on roof, and provide
free seminars geared just towards the firemen and EMS with Police. "It is a formula of common sense so the guys
are prepared, safe, and confident. That is what this is truly all about! The best part is it won't cost the taxpayers
a Penny if everyone shares the knowledge." Rullo stated.
